Under the general direction and supervision of the Community Center/Recreation Director and is responsible for officiating scheduled adult volleyball games. The Spring league will work the months of March through mid-May and the Fall league will work the months of September through mid-November. Scheduled to work Monday evenings, typically 4 matches per evening. Must be available from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This position will remain open until filled.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Officiate volleyball games to maintain standards of play and ensure game rules are observed. Judge performance to award points, impose penalties or determine results. Turn in scores and times to supervisor in a timely manner. Signal game start/end times. Keep track of elapsed time, starting and stopping play as necessary. Resolve complaints or claims of infractions by participants and assess proper action required. Verify scores as necessary. Direct participants to assigned areas. Report to the Recreation Department regarding scores, complaints, or other disciplinary actions taken. Notify the Recreation Department of injuries/accidents, Fill-out an accident report form when necessary. Confer with coaches, players, and facility managers to provide information, coordinate activities, and discuss issues.
