To Be Determined Job Description Lakeside High School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Career and Technical Education (CTE) Business Teacher to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing students for college, careers, and entrepreneurship through engaging, real-world business instruction. This position includes teaching a variety of business-related courses such as marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, personal finance, and business law. Salary ranges from $53,060 to $76,273 for a 190-day contract, based on experience and the 2026-2027 salary schedule (days to be prorated based on hire date). A complete certified teacher's pay scale is available on our school website.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in business and CTE courses. Develop and implement curriculum that incorporates project-based learning and real-world applications. Prepare students for industry-recognized certifications and postsecondary success. Utilize technology and business software to enhance classroom instruction. Foster career exploration and workplace readiness skills. Collaborate with colleagues, school leadership, and community partners to support student learning. Maintain accurate records, assess student progress, and communicate regularly with families. Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required CTE licensure.
Qualifications:
Required:
Valid Arkansas teaching license with a CTE Business Education endorsement or eligibility to obtain one. Knowledge of current business practices, career pathways, and workforce trends. Commitment to student success, equity, and innovation in education.
Preferred:
Industry experience in business, marketing, accounting, or finance. Experience leading or advising student organizations such as FBLA or DECA. Familiarity with dual credit, work-based learning, or entrepreneurial programs.
