Job Description

This position teaches two (2) periods per day. The regular schedule is from 12:00pm-3:30pm.
Site:
Imperial Middle School, La Habra City Schools 9/1/26: Salary prorated at 33.3% FTE. The Board just approved a 6% salary increase. This amount is not shown on the listed starting salary range above. New salary schedule will come out within the next few weeks. Under the direction of an Instructional Administrator, a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) instructor provides instruction to secondary school or adult students in competency-based, career technical education courses in order to prepare them for college and career. ROP classes are taught by instructors who have trained and worked in the industry they are teaching. Once hired, instructors must enter a teacher credential program and ROP provides additional training and coaching support. Many ROP classes provide real-world experience by placing students in work-based learning. Qualifications Industry Sector Preference:
A. Business & Finance B. Marketing Sales & Service (Entrepreneurship) Three (3) years of industry work experience directly related to any CTE approved industry sector per the Commission on Credentialing (CTC). Applicant must have at least earned a high school diploma to meet CTC CTE requirements for CTE Credential.
Teaching Credential:
The successful candidate must qualify for or possess a California Career Technical Education (CTE) or Designated Subjects Teaching Credential. NOCROP will assist the successful candidate in starting the credentialing paperwork. North Orange County ROP will review the applications submitted to select those candidates who appear to possess the most extensive and relevant experience or abilities for the position. Not every candidate who meets the minimum qualifications is interviewed. It is, therefore, important to ensure your application is thorough, detailed, and clear. Teaching demonstrations and interviews are normally conducted between two days and two weeks following the deadline to apply. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The required physical requirements for the position include: walking, talking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, hearing, reaching above the shoulders, the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, and visual acuity (including color, depth perception, and field of vision).
