This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The Teacher Education Fieldwork and Credentials Manager leads the day-to-day operation of fieldwork experiences and student teaching for all undergraduate and graduate Teacher Education pathways in the Attallah College of Educational Studies. The Manager supervises the Teacher Education Programs Administrative Coordinator, university supervisors, and student workers, and is accountable for placements, district partnerships, fieldwork data, and fieldwork-related fiscal processes. In collaboration with the Credential Specialist, the Manager advises candidates on credential and eligibility requirements so that placements and credential recommendations proceed on schedule. The Manager develops and implements operating procedures within established program policy; the Director of Teacher Education sets program policy and academic direction. Responsibilities Fieldwork and Student Teaching Operations Accountable for timely, appropriate placements for every eligible candidate across all Teacher Education pathways ( MAT , SPED , MACI , Integrated, Undergraduate Academic Certificates, Interns, and others). Develops and implements student teaching application timelines, fieldwork protocols, and operating procedures, and communicates them, along with eligibility requirements, to candidates, faculty, university supervisors, mentor teachers, site administrators, and district partners. Reviews student teaching applications and verifies eligibility before placement, including TB clearance, Certificate of Clearance (Live Scan), and Subject Matter Competency. Secures and manages student teaching and early fieldwork placements each semester in collaboration with district leadership, site administrators, and faculty. Verifies enrollment and registration accuracy for student teaching and fieldwork courses. Plans and leads student teaching and early fieldwork orientations for candidates. Resolves operational fieldwork and placement issues, and refers matters of candidate performance, program policy, or academic standing to the Director of Teacher Education. Staff Supervision and Team Leadership Accountable for a well-directed Teacher Education operations team and a qualified, trained, and appropriately assigned university supervisor corps. Supervises the Teacher Education Programs Administrative Coordinator, including assigning work, setting priorities, reviewing work quality, approving timekeeping, and conducting the annual performance evaluation. The Coordinator's portfolio includes admission, enrollment, student and faculty support, events, budget and financial processing, and data. Recruits, hires, onboards, manages university supervisors, and maintains the supervisor roster ( ERCR ) with Human Resources. Assigns university supervisors to candidates and placements, ensuring each supervisor holds the appropriate credentials and qualifications. Convenes regular university supervisor meetings, monitors supervisor performance, and addresses concerns in consultation with the Director of Teacher Education. Approves timekeeping and payroll documentation for university supervisors and student workers, and administers supervisor mileage reimbursement, including training on required documentation. Directs and supervises student workers. Credential and Candidate Eligibility Support In collaboration with the Credential Specialist, accountable for ensuring candidates understand and complete credential-related requirements so that no placement or credential recommendation is delayed by an avoidable gap. Advises candidates and faculty on credential and fieldwork requirements, processes, and timelines, including navigation of the CTC online application system. Reviews candidate records to identify outstanding requirements (examinations, clearances, Subject Matter Competency) that may affect program progression or placement and notifies candidates and advisors of deadlines and required follow-up. Guides newly admitted candidates through the Certificate of Clearance or Substitute Permit process, including required documentation, procedures, and timelines. Maintains and disseminates current information on required assessments, including Subject Matter Competency ( SMC ), CSET , and CalTPA, and coordinates with undergraduate and graduate advising teams, so students receive consistent information. Participates in California Commission on Teacher Credentialing ( CTC ) meetings, monitors changes to CTC requirements and fieldwork policies, and communicates updates to relevant stakeholders. Fieldwork Assessment, Training, and Data Accountable for consistent fieldwork evaluation across supervisors and mentor teachers, complete fieldwork documentation, and accurate data for accreditation and institutional reporting. Designs and delivers orientation, onboarding, and professional development for university supervisors and mentor teachers, including Tevera/ ELC , Canvas, GoReact, evaluation processes, and fieldwork expectations. Facilitates calibration for university supervisors and faculty on evaluation instruments, including the EDA tool, Fieldwork Observation Evaluation Forms, and Tevera/ ELC . Is the "Super User" of Tevera/ ELC for the college. Trains other college personnel in Tevera/ ELC ; administers the platform; keeps program requirements, deadlines, and documents current; and monitors timely completion of permission forms, fieldwork logs, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and evaluations in Tevera/ LEC . Maintains placement data, including the diversity of fieldwork settings, and prepares reports for the Office of Accreditation and Assessment and other institutional stakeholders. Aligns fieldwork assessment timelines, data collection, and reporting with the Office of Accreditation and Assessment across Tevera/ ELC and Qualtrics. District and School Partnerships Accountable for sufficient placement capacity and productive working relationships with partner districts and school sites. Builds and maintains working relationships with district leaders, site administrators, and mentor teachers to support successful clinical experiences. Develops partnerships with districts and school sites to expand placement capacity and sustain fieldwork opportunities. Coordinates, obtains, and maintains district fieldwork and internship Fieldwork Agreements and related partnership documentation. Serves as the primary operational liaison for fieldwork courses among candidates, faculty, site administrators, and district partners. Fiscal Administration and Program Communications Accountable for accurate, timely fieldwork payments and for current, accessible fieldwork information. Administers fieldwork financial processes, including tracking early fieldwork, processing student teaching invoices and mentor teacher payments, preparing non-purchase order documentation, and submitting materials to Accounts Payable. Reports unpaid invoices for fiscal year-end accrual and tracks them through payment. Coordinates collection and maintain data for the Student Teaching Stipend Program submission. Maintains Teacher Education handbooks, fieldwork resources, and related program documentation. Disseminates Risk Management requirements and other compliance materials to candidates participating in field experiences. Represents Teacher Education fieldwork operations at New Student Orientation and at college, department, and program meetings and events as assigned. Desired Qualifications Advanced degree or professional credential in the educational field (e.g., MA in Education, multiple or single subject teaching credential, special education teaching credential) A minimum of three years' experience in pre-k-12 educational settings Working knowledge of State standards and requirements for teaching and service credentials.
