4:25pm - 7:45pm Hours Per Week 10 Hours CTE Credential Public Services Job Summary Job Summary The Law Enforcement Occupations Instructor will work under general supervision to supervise and instruct students in career technical training and career development. The main responsibilities include establishing a safe and disciplined classroom environment, providing instruction in the assigned vocational area, and ensuring students are equipped with job-seeking and retention skills. The teacher will also evaluate student performance, maintain safety protocols, and assist students in career readiness. EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of work experience in the technical skills, trade, or vocations to be taught are required. One (1) of the three (3) years of the required experience must be within the last five (5) years or two (2) years within the last ten (10) years.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree highly desirable.
CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES
Possession of, or ability to obtain prior to employment, a valid California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching or Vocational Credential for the subject to be taught is required. (Refer to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov for Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credentials). (You must apply for annual waiver while completing University credentialing program of study until CTEL certification or EL equivalent is obtained through clear credential.) You must provide copies of credentials as required for the position or provide evidence of qualifying for required credential with your application materials. Valid California Class C Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability status under Baldy View ROP vehicle insurance policy is required.
