VariQuest is seeking an Education Sales Consultant to manage and grow our Northern California, Sacramento Valley, Bay area territory. The ideal candidate will reside within the area. Compensation Base Salary:
$55,000 - $65,000 (depending on experience)
Uncapped Commission First-Year Expected Earnings:

Established territory with existing customer relationships Industry-leading products with a proven track record in schools Comprehensive onboarding and sales training Consultative sales process focused on helping schools achieve their goals Limited overnight travel (typically no more than 2 nights per month) Opportunity to positively impact educators and students every day Supportive team environment with ongoing coaching and professional development Position Overview The Education Sales Consultant is responsible for generating sales revenue throughout Illinois by prospecting, conducting product demonstrations, building customer relationships, and helping schools identify solutions that support their educational initiatives. Success in this role comes from maintaining a high level of activity, building strong relationships, and utilizing a consultative sales approach to uncover school needs and align VariQuest solutions accordingly. Product demonstrations are conducted through a combination of virtual meetings and in-person visits. Key Responsibilities Conduct an average of six scheduled product demonstrations per week through a combination of virtual and in-person meetings Develop and manage a territory sales plan to achieve activity and revenue goals Prospect for new business opportunities within K-12 schools and districts Schedule and conduct product presentations with educators, administrators, and district leaders Follow an established consultative sales process to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions Prepare and deliver customized proposals and quotations Maintain consistent follow-up activity through phone, email, video conferencing, and in-person meetings Build long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat purchases and referrals Maintain accurate records, opportunities, and forecasts within Salesforce CRM Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to support territory growth Attend regional and national education conferences and trade shows as needed Participate in strategic sales initiatives and special projects Ideal Candidate You may be a strong fit if you: Have experience in education, educational leadership, or consultative sales Enjoy presenting and communicating with groups Are self-motivated and comfortable managing your own schedule and territory Have strong relationship-building and follow-up skills Are organized and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously Enjoy helping educators solve challenges and improve outcomes for students Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Valid driver's license, with a vehicle... we provide fuel reimbursement Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory Ability to learn and effectively use CRM and virtual meeting platforms Preferred Previous teaching or school administration experience Previous education technology sales experience Experience with consultative sales methodologies Experience using Salesforce CRM Travel Requirements Local travel throughout Illinois Occasional overnight travel (typically no more than two nights per month) Attendance at select regional and national education conferences and trade shows About VariQuest VariQuest provides innovative visual and kinesthetic learning tools that help schools increase student engagement, support instructional initiatives, strengthen school culture, and create meaningful learning experiences.
