Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Technology Education Teacher at Wooster Middle School. The ideal candidate will foster a dynamic learning environment that encourages student engagement and innovation in technology. This full-time position requires a commitment to developing students' skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration through hands-on projects and integrated technology solutions guided by the Project Lead The Way Gateway curriculum. Responsibilities
  • Implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state standards and promotes technological literacy.
  • Create lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, collaborative work, and digital resources.
  • Facilitate a classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning goals.
  • Integrate emerging technologies and tools into the curriculum to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring that all equipment and materials are properly utilized and maintained.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and technology advancements.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive school community.
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide technology initiatives and participate in relevant committees or teams. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Technology Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Technology Education (047)
  • Strong knowledge of current technology trends, tools, and educational practices.
  • Experience in teaching middle school students preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Proficiency in using various educational technologies and software.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing educational needs.
