This contract opportunity is ideal for educators who are excited about inspiring students through innovative and culturally rich instruction.
Essential Qualifications:
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese; native or near-native proficiency is strongly preferred Previous experience in classroom teaching or education Skill in designing and delivering engaging, student-centered instruction Strong communication abilities and a collaborative spirit Commitment to fostering positive relationships with students and contributing to a supportive school community
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in teaching within public or public charter schools Familiarity with Humanities, International Studies, or related disciplines Experience working with diverse student groups Knowledge of inquiry-based, project-based, or culturally responsive teaching methods Ability to integrate Mandarin language instruction with Humanities or global studies curricula Responsibilities include: Planning and implementing Mandarin Chinese and I&S lessons in alignment with school curriculum and learning goals Creating dynamic lessons that build students' language skills, critical thinking, and cultural awareness Differentiating instruction to support students at various proficiency levels Incorporating authentic Chinese-language resources, cultural viewpoints, and relevant global issues into daily instruction Assessing student progress and offering timely, constructive feedback Collaborating with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and overall student achievement Fostering a positive, inclusive, and well-organized classroom environment Participating in school meetings, professional development sessions, and community events as needed Bring your expertise and dedication to a vibrant classroom community where language and culture open doors to new perspectives.
