Job Overview The Academy GA, located in Port Smyrna, is an accredited, non-traditional school specializing in discovering and cultivating the
GREATNESS
in children with Dyslexia, ADHD and Non-Traditional Learners. We are currently seeking a full-time ELA teacher. Preference will be given to those who have experience teaching children with Dyslexia, ADHD & high functioning autism. We offer small class sizes for teachers to focus on each individual child's needs. Seeking Teachers for the following grades: Elementary Middle School You must be flexible and passionate about teaching and have a deep understanding of students who learn differently. This teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters the academic and social-emotional development of students. This role requires a strong commitment to student success, effective lesson planning, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to support students with varying needs. Provide literacy and reading instruction tailored to the individual learning styles of students. Keep a strucutred and creative classroom environment that promotes hands on learning at all times Foster a positive school environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Create a
STRESS-FREE
learning environment with extra emotional and academic support Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding student performance and development. Foster a safe and healthy social and emotional school environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is
REQUIRED.
You must be a kid-loving person first and foremost. Strong skills in lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction and classroom management.
