Health Occupations Education Instructor (Creston)

Job Description

Location - Creston, IA Actively seeking a health occupations education instructor for Southwestern Business & Community Development department at the Creston campus. Responsible for offering specific courses as assigned in cooperation with hospitals, nursing homes, social service agencies, other client-centered agencies, and businesses and industries which desire service. Instructors are required to plan and implement programs as spelled out by the particular curriculum approved by the state of Iowa. Most classes include classroom or online instruction and clinical methods of teaching. Must be able to monitor student progress and provide reasonable supplemental instruction and/or remediation if student is having difficulty with the course. Classes are scheduled as needed throughout the year and do not follow a set schedule. Qualifications include a HS Diploma or equivalent, AD, Diploma, or BS in Nursing. Current unencumbered IA nursing license. C.N.A requires at least 2 years RN with one year of LTC experience all others require RN with expertise in the area being taught.
