Job Description

Inspire the next generation as a Health Science educator in a vibrant junior high setting! A contract role is available for a dynamic Health Science Teacher who is passionate about cultivating curiosity and delivering impactful science education to young learners. This position is located near Calumet City, IL, and runs from ASAP through May 21, 2027, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference. As the dedicated Health Science Teacher, you'll lead engaging lessons for middle school students, bringing science concepts to life and preparing them for future academic success. This is a strictly onsite role at the junior high level—virtual options are not accepted. A strong background in health science or related fields (such as chemistry, anatomy, or other sciences) is highly desired, with a preference for candidates holding a Health Science endorsement.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid teaching license with a Professional Educator License (PEL) is required (substitute licenses will not be considered) Experience or endorsement in health science, chemistry, anatomy, or related sciences Proven ability to engage middle school students in science content Commitment to fulfilling a 33.75-hour weekly schedule
