Job Description

A rewarding opportunity awaits for an experienced General Education Teacher to make a difference in a supportive junior high environment near Chicago, IL. This full-time contract role is set within an engaging school community and offers you the chance to inspire and mentor students throughout the academic year.
Key Details:
Contract duration: August 26, 2026 June 3, 2027
Schedule:
Full-time, 7:30AM 2:21PM One position available
Caseload:
Junior high students with a focus on general education Interview process: 30-minute interviews for candidates
Desired Qualifications:
Valid and active Illinois teaching license and certification CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement required Demonstrated experience in a school-based setting Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to connect and communicate effectively with adolescent learners Committed to fostering a collaborative, inclusive classroom atmosphere
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to junior high students Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs Maintain a welcoming, safe, and productive classroom environment Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to promote student success Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress This is a chance to build meaningful relationships, contribute to a dynamic faculty, and positively impact students preparing for future success.
