Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an engaging classroom environment as a 6th Grade Science Teacher for the upcoming school year! This contract position is ideal for educators passionate about fostering curiosity and a love of learning in middle school students. Work onsite with motivated learners and a supportive staff, focusing exclusively on science instruction for sixth grade.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related discipline Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with the required endorsement(s) Demonstrated experience in curriculum planning, instructional design, and classroom management Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Commitment to working onsite; remote/virtual work is not available for this role
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging science lessons tailored to the 6th grade curriculum Foster a positive, inclusive, and dynamic classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for science Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to support student learning and curriculum consistency Utilize diverse instructional strategies and assessment tools to meet the needs of a variety of learners Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities Maintain accurate records of student achievement and classroom participation in accordance with school policies Why Consider This Opportunity?
