Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Driver's Ed Instructor to join our team full-time, with evening and weekend availability. Our ideal candidate must be available to work at minimum 40 hours per week, during the school year including Sundays. Summer hours would require a minimum of 40 hours. No industry experience is required. Must complete a 48 hour certification course to obtain State Licensing. We will provide all the necessary training to help you obtain your Instructor's License to teach new drivers the fundamentals of responsible and safe driving. Successful candidates must also be comfortable with teaching one-on-one for in-person behind-the-wheel instruction. Duties Communicate clearly and effectively with students, addressing their questions and concerns regarding driving techniques and safety. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their driving skills. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance throughout the training program. Stay updated on state regulations and best practices in driver education to ensure compliance and enhance instructional methods. Provide behind-the-wheel instruction in standard passenger cars, and special needs driving as needed Lead personal driving instruction focusing on defensive driving, and driver improvement Communicate effectively with students to foster a positive learning environment and ensure understanding of traffic safety principles Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols during all on-road instruction sessions Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and instructional activities Requirements Proven experience in senior driver instruction or related teaching roles with classroom management skills Strong knowledge of standard passenger car operation, motorcycle operation, manual transmissions, and off-road driving techniques Ability to instruct in diverse conditions including adverse weather and night driving scenarios Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds Experience in adult education or working with students requiring special needs driver instruction is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; proficiency in traffic safety instruction required Demonstrated ability to teach defensive driving, highway maneuvers, traffic regulations, and client communication skills Flexibility to work evenings and weekends consistently as part of your schedule What you will receive from us: State Certified Instructor's License A Competitive Wage + Health Benefits Paid Time Off Assigned Dual-Controlled Vehicle A Mobile Device An Instructor's Tablet Fuel and other business-related expenses Flexible hours and the ability to make your own schedule (meeting business needs)
