Wichita, KS Job Details Part-time 13 hours ago Qualifications Experience working with individuals with disabilities Disability services experience Full Job Description Friends University is seeking to fill a Part-Time Friendship Fields - Instructor position in Wichita Kansas. This position plans, leads, facilitates, and instructs for maximum student learning and socialization in a university classroom. Meets established outcomes based on daily lesson plans and capacity to master learning objectives. Provides activities designed to create interest and enthusiasm for personal grasp of knowledge. This position calls for an individual with social/emotional teaching and learning experience. The instructor will be responsible for teaching adult sped students about personal safety, health boundaries, preventing harassment, preventing bullying, making safe choices, etc. Work hours vary between 12:45 to 7:45 pm, depending on classes taught and needs of the program. Experience working in group homes, volunteering, and interacting with special education students is also considered valuable. Bachelor's degree preferred. The ideal candidate is habitually upbeat, approachable, and easy to talk to. Knowledgeable about special education students instructional needs.
