Step into an impactful opportunity as a high school English Language Arts educator for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position calls for a dynamic teacher to support students academic growth in a vibrant educational environment near Harvey, Louisiana. With 35 hours scheduled each week from Monday through Friday, youll guide high schoolers in developing language skills, literary appreciation, and critical thinkingall while enriching your own professional journey.
What Were Looking For:
Valid and active Louisiana Department of Education certification (not temporary or in-process) Experience teaching high school ELA is highly valued Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills Commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging classroom culture Willingness to complete district-specific credentialing, including a drug screen and fingerprint clearance Ability to start August 3, 2026, and commit through May 27, 2027
