Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and current Louisiana Department of Education Certification (DOE Cert) is required; applicants must already possess licensure (Temporary Authority to Teach certificates are not accepted). Previous experience teaching general education high school math is preferred. Willingness to work across multiple schools, as assignments may vary. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to reach diverse learners. Completion of drug screening and fingerprinting as part of district and agency credentialing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate math instruction to high school students following state and district curricular standards. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success. Assess student understanding and progress through formative and summative evaluations.
