We are currently seeking an experienced High School Vocational Instructor specializing in HVAC, facilities management, and smart building to join Tri-County. This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education of the next generation of building operators, empowering them with valuable skills for their career advancement. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing students with a comprehensive education in facilities management, including the maintenance, operation, and management of physical buildings and grounds. This role involves developing and delivering curriculum, fostering hands-on learning experiences, and preparing students for careers in facilities management. The teacher will also oversee practical training and ensure that students meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Instruction:
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers key areas of facilities management, including building maintenance, safety protocols, energy management, and budgeting.
  • Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on training sessions to students.
  • Update and adapt curriculum to reflect industry trends and technological advancements.
Student Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through tests, projects, and practical assignments.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Practical Training and Supervision:
  • Coordinate and supervise practical training opportunities, including on-site projects and simulations.
  • Ensure students gain hands-on experience in various aspects of facilities management, such as maintenance procedures, safety inspections, and equipment operation.
Industry Collaboration:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and industry professionals to enhance the learning experience and provide students with real-world insights.
  • Arrange guest lectures, field trips, and internship opportunities to broaden students' exposure to the field.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Educate students on safety standards and regulations related to facilities management.
  • Ensure that all practical training activities adhere to safety guidelines and industry best practices.
Administrative Duties:
  • Prepare and manage instructional materials and resources.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school activities.
  • Contribute to the development of program goals and objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned by Principal or Designee
