Job Description Under the direction of the Education Coordinator, the Early Education Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes the growth, well-being, and school readiness of young children. This role supports the social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development of children while fostering strong partnerships with families and collaborating with staff to deliver high-quality early childhood education services.   • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of child growth and development principles.
  • Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills.
  • Ability to create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and individualized learning activities.
  • Experience conducting child observations, assessments, and developmental screenings.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation, attendance records, and child progress reports.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with curriculum planning and individualized education planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related coursework in Elementary Education, Social Work, Psychology, or Special Education.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
  • Prior experience in Head Start, Early Head Start, or federally funded early childhood programs.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and children with special needs.
  • Bilingual abilities, including English/Spanish or other languages.
  • Familiarity with developmental assessment tools and classroom management systems.
  • Previous experience conducting home visits and parent engagement activities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of state licensing standards and early childhood education regulations.
  • Training in trauma-informed care, social-emotional learning, or positive behavior support strategies.
