This contract position is based near Detroit, MI, within a welcoming academic environment, serving a class of 19 students. Key Qualifications:

Valid Elementary Teacher certification Experience in general education classrooms, ideally with lower elementary grades Strong classroom management skills and the ability to nurture a positive, inclusive learning space Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families Flexibility to adapt to different teaching methods and curriculum needs

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to 2nd-grade students Maintain a supportive and well-organized classroom for up to 19 children Develop and implement lesson plans that meet students individual needs and encourage academic growth Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing feedback and support as needed Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities to foster a cohesive educational experience Maintain a schedule of 8:35 am to 3:35 pm (with a half-hour unpaid lunch), totaling 32.5 hours per week This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in childrens lives in a supportive school environment.
