Job Description

Step into a dynamic classroom setting and make a lasting impact as a certified Elementary Teacher supporting a vibrant group of 2nd grade learners for the remainder of the school year. Conveniently situated near Ypsilanti, MI, this contract role provides the opportunity to engage with 19 enthusiastic students, well within manageable class size limits. The school fosters an inclusive, supportive environment that values dedication, adaptability, and high-quality teaching.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid elementary teaching certification (State of Michigan preferred) Experience as a general education teacher, ideally at the elementary level Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student growth Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow teachers, support staff, and administrators Passion for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom community
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction aligned with curriculum standards for 2nd-grade students Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all learners Monitor student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respect, and a love of learning Communicate regularly with families regarding academic progress and classroom activities Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the educational experience Maintain thorough records, including attendance and academic achievement
