We are seeking instructors dedicated to excellence in teaching who desire to make a difference in the lives of our students. Teaching assignments are primarily located in the Austin campus. The instructor may be assigned to teach in a traditional classroom and lab format as well as online, hybrid and interactive television formats. Activities related to comprehensive community college teaching and learning, including but not limited to: instructional planning and delivery; teaching and facilitating student learning; curriculum planning and development; assessment of student performance; classroom management; and maintenance of professional skills and credentials; The candidate must be able to work cooperatively with faculty and staff, demonstrate knowledge of and experience in assessment of student learning outcomes, participate in department meetings, college-wide committees, and maintain ongoing professional development activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Requirement Associate degree and a graduate of an accredited massage therapy program. Occupational Experience Requirement Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in the massage therapy industry. Recency Requirement One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. Professional Requirement Current individual certification by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) or successful completion of the MBLEx examination offered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards.
