Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role shaping young minds as a Health Teacher for the 2026/2027 academic year. This contract opportunity is perfect for passionate educators excited about fostering students' physical and emotional well-being. You'll make a lasting impact across both middle and high school settings, building connections as you support learners from August 31, 2026, through June 7, 2027. Your week will be split between two schools, engaging students in a .7 FTE position. At the high school level, you will inspire students in three Beginning Weights classes and dynamic Nutrition courses, empowering them to make healthy, informed choices. At the middle school, you'll cultivate supportive relationships by leading Advisory and teaching a vibrant section of Personal Wellness.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Minnesota teaching license appropriate for General Education or Health Education Previous classroom experience at the secondary level is preferred Knowledge of current curriculum standards and effective classroom management strategies Strong communication skills—able to build rapport with students, colleagues, and families Passion for promoting student growth, health, and wellness Flexibility, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit
