Job Description

Step into a vibrant educational community as a Health Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year! This contract position, starting August 31, 2026, and concluding on June 7, 2027, offers a dedicated educator the chance to have a meaningful impact on students at both the middle and high school levels. The schedule is .7 FTE, with your time thoughtfully split between two campuses. In this dynamic role, you'll engage high schoolers in three Beginning Weights classes and lead them through essential Nutrition courses. At the middle school, you'll connect with students through advisory sessions and by teaching a dedicated section of Personal Wellness.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid teaching license for General Education (Health endorsement preferred) Experience in delivering curriculum at both middle and high school levels Strong foundation in health, wellness, and physical education concepts Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment Excellent communication and classroom management skills Flexibility and organization to thrive in a split-campus role
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver impactful lessons in weights, nutrition, and wellness Guide and mentor students during advisory periods Create engaging, age-appropriate coursework adapting to each grade's needs Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Collaborate with other educators and staff to support a healthy school environment
