Job Summary This part-time adjunct faculty position requires teaching in-person undergraduate courses in the Athletic Training degree program on an as needed basis. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Face-to-face and/or online course delivery and instruction. Prepare and submit syllabi, grades and other required course documentation in a timely manner. Communicate course requirements and expectations to students. Communicate with other program and school-level faculty. Performs other duties, as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree or higher in Athletic Training or a related field Mississippi state license or eligible Ability to teach effectively, according to University standards, in the undergraduate and graduate Athletic Training programs Criminal history and background check clearance Uphold the mission and values of USM, College of Nursing and Health Professions, and the School of Health Professions Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) Specialized knowledge in the field of Athletic Training as demonstrated by national certification. Candidates should have the ability to deliver accurate, concise and quality communication (verbal and written) in a timely manner. Candidates should have the ability to work collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should have the ability to navigate and use learning management systems for teaching, such as Canvas, as well as other technological communications (Microsoft Office Suite). Preferred Qualifications Teaching, mentoring, and/or service experience at the university level. Professional experience in Athletic Training. Experience with USM's Learning Management System, Canvas.
