Coding Instructor South Jersey Innovation Center Cherry Hill, NJ Job Details Part-time From $25 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Some college Software coding Research Experience working with children Experience working with middle schoolers Working with students Full Job Description The South Jersey Innovation Center (SJIC) is seeking part-time STEM instructors for beginner through advanced coding classes. We are looking for creative, dedicated individuals who are passionate about technology and enjoy working with kids. SJIC delivers a variety of innovative STEM classes geared toward elementary and middle school students, with offerings such as chess, math, engineering, game development, 3D modeling, and more. Key Responsibilities Research, prepare, and deliver coding lessons for students. Personalization & creativity is strongly encouraged! Manage classes with a range of ages and experience Utilize an abundance of tools and resources to keep students engaged Have the flexibility to teach what you're most comfortable with while learning new things alongside students Requirements Strong grasp of programming (Python, Scratch, Minecraft and Roblox skills are most helpful) College students in technology fields, and graduates with relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply! Experience working with and/or teaching kids in a formal or informal setting Experience using kid-friendly STEM education platforms is desirable but not required Availability to teach 1-2 days per week on weeknights and weekends
