Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Federal holidays observed)
Position Summary:
The Teacher will provide individualized and group educational services to Native American adolescents (ages 12-17) in a residential treatment setting. Responsibilities include assessing educational needs at admission, developing academic plans, delivering daily instruction across multiple education levels (elementary through GED), and supporting each student's progress toward academic and personal goals.
Key Duties:
Conduct educational assessments and create individualized academic plans Deliver daily classroom instruction and maintain a structured learning environment Develop curriculum and lesson plans tailored to each student's level Use computer-based learning tools alongside direct instruction Coordinate with school systems and attend education-related meetings Administer and interpret the WRAT assessment Document academic progress and update records daily, including SOAP notes in EHR as needed Support students pursuing a GED and accommodate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Participate in treatment team meetings and uphold professional conduct standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Valid New Mexico Teaching License Current BLS certification (ACLS and/or PALS preferred) Must meet background check and security clearance requirements Powered by JazzHR E3tuqRp9p6
