Job Description
Bachelor's degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Bring your passion for visual arts education to a vibrant school community in the Elmira, NY region. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is ideal for a creative, student-focused professional ready to inspire learners through innovative art instruction within general education settings. You will be working 37.5 hours each week in the Bath, Hornell, or Jasper-Troupsburg, NY area, sharing your expertise and fostering a love for the arts among students.
Key Qualifications:
Valid NY State Visual Arts Initial Certificate required Experience as a general education or art teacher in school settings preferred Strong classroom management and lesson planning capabilities Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and administrationResponsibilities:
Teach visual arts and integrate art concepts across multiple grade levels as assigned Develop engaging, standards-based lesson plans that nurture student creativity and skills Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming classroom environment Participate in school meetings, activities, and professional development as neededTo Apply:
