Job Description

Bachelor's degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract position involves working onsite with students in a supportive school environment, providing a vital artistic education while fostering students' growth and self-expression. Key Qualifications:
Valid New York State Visual Arts Initial Certificate required Prior experience teaching art in a general education K-12 setting preferred Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse learners Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with staff, students, and parents Must be comfortable working onsite full-time

Deliver dynamic, standards-based visual arts instruction to students in accordance with curriculum guidelines Create lesson plans that nurture creativity and critical thinking Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and document outcomes Organize and showcase student artwork through exhibitions, displays, or other events Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborate with fellow educators
