Job Description

Continuing Education Instructor- Welding 1 & 2

DUTIES:

Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for a Continuing Education Instructor for Welding.

Duties:

Develop & implement engaging curricula, tailored to the needs of adult learners, around the topic of assigned course(s) Manage classroom dynamics to create a respectful, inclusive, motivating environment for diverse student populations Assess & support student progress, working closely with students to support their goals Maintain accurate attendance, participation, and performance records

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience teaching, preferably within adult education and/or classroom settings Formal educational/vocational training (e.g.

AWS, CWE, CWI

) and expertise in the subject matter of the course(s) Familiarity with learning technology tools Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Punctual & must be willing to teach assigned course for its full scheduled duration

CHARACTERISTICS DESIRED

Prior experience and/or strong desire to work with students from varied backgrounds and skill levels Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
