Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic high school environment as a General Education English Language Arts teacher, contributing your expertise to support students in grades 9-12. This full-time position begins in Fall 2026 and offers the opportunity to engage with a motivated student body and collaborate with dedicated educational professionals. As part of a contract position, you'll serve a pivotal role in shaping academic achievement and literacy skills for the next generation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Hold an active state teaching certification/license in English Language Arts appropriate for high school levels (7-12 or 9-12). Demonstrated experience teaching in a high school setting is highly preferred. Strong communication abilities and a passion for fostering student growth. A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, and parents.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging ELA instruction that aligns with state standards and curriculum guidelines. Assess student performance regularly, maintain thorough and accurate grade records, and differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning styles. Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages respectful interaction and academic success. Coordinate with colleagues and administrators to address student needs, and communicate student progress and concerns with parents and guardians. Participate in professional development and departmental activities to enhance instructional strategies and stay current with educational best practices.
