Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Cooking Instructor to inspire and educate individuals of all ages in the art of culinary creation. In this role, you will lead engaging cooking classes, develop innovative curricula, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence in the kitchen. Your expertise will help participants explore diverse cuisines, improve their culinary skills, and develop a lifelong love for cooking. Responsibilities Design and implement dynamic cooking lessons tailored to various skill levels and age groups, including children, teens, and adults Lead hands-on cooking demonstrations, guiding participants through each step with clear instructions and safety precautions Develop comprehensive curricula that incorporate culinary techniques, nutrition education, and cultural cuisine exploration Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants Assess participant progress and provide constructive feedback to foster skill development and confidence Collaborate with team members to plan special events, themed classes, or seasonal cooking programs Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen space, ensuring all equipment is used safely and properly stored Requirements Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management Experience working with children or developmentally disabled individuals is highly preferred Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and ages Excellent classroom management skills to maintain order while encouraging creativity Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with students of all backgrounds Join us as a Cooking Instructor for intellectual developmentally disabled population who is eager to learn how to cook!
