Job Description

Step into an impactful classroom role as a full-time middle school science teacher in a vibrant, onsite school environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, and offers the chance to make a real difference for general education students, with a strong support structure for any special education needs. Your expertise in science instruction and commitment to meeting state and district standards will be highly valued, as you guide students during the school day from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; eligibility for emergency teaching permit Valid, active teaching certification or licensure appropriate for the role Demonstrated classroom and behavioral management expertise At least one year of previous school-based teaching experience Strong instructional skills, with the ability to differentiate and align lesson plans to current standards Experience working in urban school settings strongly preferred Solid understanding and comfort with district policies and school culture Willingness to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances Reliable transportation to ensure onsite attendance Capacity to work schedule as posted, with no accommodation for alternate hours
