This position will begin End of January for a 3 month period, at least. Position summary The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. This is a full-time position, primarily Monday-Friday role although the employee must be able to work evenings or weekends as needed. Key duties and responsibilities Integrate Biblical truths throughout each of their courses in written materials and oral and written instructions to students, in furtherance of the school's religious mission; lead in prayer with students and assist in their spiritual development. Recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible, before God, for their children's education and be prepared to assist them in that task. Establish an environment for learning that displays proper discipline both in the classroom and on school premises.Requirements:
Move about the classroom and supervise students during class. Physically accompany students in the hallways or in other places inside and outside the buildings as necessary. Have sufficient vision to allow for active supervision and interaction with students. Have the ability to quickly summon help when an emergency arises either in the classroom, gymnasium or on the athletic field. Climb the stairs to reach the classrooms/offices on the higher floors at all campuses. Must be able to lift boxes up to 15 lbs.
