3008167727-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Ombudsman Educational Services, a ChanceLight Education brand, seeks a Teacher for our alternative education program serving middle and high school students. You will deliver standards-based, credit-bearing instruction in a small, structured setting for students who have dropped out, are at risk, or need a nontraditional environment. Responsibilities include planning personalized lessons, managing behavior, tracking progress, supporting IEPs, and collaborating with district partners. Join a mission-driven team focused on safe, supportive, student-centered learning and helping every learner progress toward graduation. Responsibilities Plan and deliver standards-based, credit-bearing instruction for alternative education middle and high school students. Create individualized learning plans and adjust instruction to meet diverse academic and behavioral needs. Implement effective classroom and behavior management strategies in a safe, structured environment. Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with school districts, counselors, and support staff to align goals and services. Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and district partners regarding student progress. Support IEP implementation and accommodations in collaboration with special education teams. Use instructional technology and digital tools to support personalized learning. Participate in professional development focused on at-risk youth, behavior support, and trauma-informed practices. Contribute to a student-centered, mission-driven school culture focused on graduation and life success.
