Lifelong Learning Job Summary The Division of Continuing Education seeks and employs adjunct faculty throughout the year for instructional roles in Bowie, Champions Circle, Corinth, Denton, Flower Mound, Gainesville, and Graham. Additional instructional activity is possible supporting Grant Funded business training initiatives throughout Denton and Cooke Counties. We are current seeking instructors for our Adult Vocational Training Programs to include but not limited to courses: Logistics, electrical, construction trades, industrial maintenance, industrial management, automation, Industry 4.0, CNC, machining, CAD, welding, plumbing, HVAC, autobody repair, auto maintenance Rate of pay: $35 to $50 per hour Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid. Part time teaching assignments are awarded to individuals for the specific purpose of providing instruction to students. This includes organization and preparation of information and material around the standard NCTC course syllabus, delivery of instruction, and evaluation and assessment of student performance. Duties are performed under the guidance of the division program coordinator and dean. Required Education Associate or Bachelor's degree. (Please attach copy of diploma and unofficial transcript of college courses if applicable) Years of experience and professional certifications can be substituted for formal education depending on field of expertise. (please attach copy of certifications or license for relevant field with application) Required Skills & Abilities Flexible, strong organizational and communication skills. Must be able to operate computers and other relevant technology, such as digital signatures. Must be familiar with most Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel. Have current knowledge of the relevant course offering. Ability to deliver course outcomes and content through a variety of teaching/learning styles to include online or hybrid delivery methods. Required Experience 5+ years of experience in the field. Preferred Experience formal teaching experience Special Instructions to Applicants Subject to criminal background check. Resume, certification/unofficial transcripts required in addition to application dependent on the class. Salary is $35 to $50 per hour, with no more than 19 hours a week.
