Faculty are expected to accept courses as assigned, which could include non-traditional venues, such as evening, weekend, dual-credit, blended, and/or online courses. This position exercises no supervision. Employee may not exceed 19.5 hours per week.
NOTE:
This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical effort-restricted: Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods. Light lifting (less than 30 lbs.), some walking, pushing and pulling on a regular basis.
Work environment:
Minimal hazard/exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
BENEFITS
Part-Time Retirement. Participation in Medicare Part A, but not Social Security (FICA).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's degree in Child and Family Studies, Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field from an accredited college or university. Must have 18 graduate hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development.
Experience:
At least three years of full-time teaching experience within the early education environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
At least one year of full-time experience teaching adult learners in a collegiate or professional setting. Recent teaching experience at the community college level.
