Inspire and support high school students by sharing your passion for physical education and athletics in a dynamic educational setting. This part-time contract opportunity invites a dedicated professional to make a positive impact during the full school year, providing guidance and support as a key part of the athletic and educational departments.
What We're Looking For:
Washington State Athletic Trainer Licensure Bachelor's degree from a program approved by the Washington Secretary of Health (minimum requirement) In-depth understanding of the rules and regulations associated with high school sports, including compliance with Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) requirements Current or eligible to obtain First Aid certification, CPR card, and AED training Previous experience working in education or with high school students is a plus Effective communication and organizational skills Enthusiastic about fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all students
Responsibilities Include:
Teach physical education classes and support general education initiatives for high school students Collaborate seamlessly with the athletic director regarding scheduling, compliance, and student-athlete wellbeing Supervise athletic programs, ensuring strict adherence to WIAA rules and participation standards Lead and assist with clinics, practices, and training sessions as required Promote safe practices and respond to student needs in sports settings, putting health and safety first Maintain accurate documentation as required by school and athletic association policies This engaging part-time role offers the chance to balance your professional life with personal pursuits, while shaping students' experiences in meaningful ways.
