Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical industry! This paid position offers hands-on experience working alongside skilled electricians on diverse construction projects. You will develop your technical skills, learn industry standards, and gain valuable insight into electrical systems, all while contributing to safe and efficient project execution. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in both commercial and industrial electrical environments. Responsibilities Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system setup. Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot and ensure proper connections. Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Help with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations and conduit routing. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote a safe working environment. Skills Strong interest in electrical work with a willingness to learn industry best practices. Experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician tasks is a plus. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices like ohmmeters. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems, including basic wiring techniques. Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in dynamic environments. Understanding of NEC guidelines for safe electrical installations; familiarity with schematics is advantageous. Basic frame carpentry skills helpful for supporting electrical infrastructure projects.
