Electrical Design Engineer

SWA is seeking a Electrical Design Engineer in Moundridge, KS!

$32.00/hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday/7:00am-3:30pm

Consideration Requirements:

Must pass a background check, drug screening, and DMV driving record review Requires Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience. Basic CAD experience (AutoCAD) including word-processing and database knowledge Basic knowledge of electronic controls and their functions Strong understanding of electrical components, electrical ratings, and AC/DC applications Ability to apply electrical and mathematical concepts Experience completing electrical design drawings using CAD software Basic AutoCAD experience preferred Word processing and database knowledge Ability to answer technical questions from managers, engineers, and shop personnel Basic mechanical aptitude

Daily Duties:

Create safe, logical electrical control schematic designs based on project scope and requirements Design electrical panels and select appropriate electrical components Maintain working knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards, including OSHA, ANSI, NFPA-79, NEC, CSA, and CE Communicate with engineers, department managers, project managers, sales, testing, and manufacturing teams to define and complete project requirements Identify missing or unclear project information before design work begins Manage time effectively to complete projects on schedule Communicate concerns, changes, or project issues to the Project Manager or Controls Engineering Manager Provide technical support to project teams throughout the project cycle Occasionally travel to customer sites to help determine project scope and requirements Perform additional duties as required
