DC Electrical Technician Full Time | Mobile Equipment | Field & Shop Work A leading technical contractor is hiring a DC Electrical Technician to install, wire, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems on mobile and heavy equipment. This is a hands‑on role ideal for candidates from construction, heavy equipment, industrial maintenance, marine, agricultural machinery, mobile hydraulics, or military electrical/mechanical operations. You'll work on DC circuits, integrate electrical components, diagnose issues, source parts, and ensure equipment operates safely and reliably. This role includes both field and shop work with opportunities for travel depending on project needs. What You'll Do Install, wire, and terminate DC electrical components (alternators, batteries, chargers, inverters, controllers, sensors, etc.) Diagnose, design, and optimize DC electrical circuits for performance and reliability Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Select, source, and procure electrical components, hardware, and wiring supplies Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in field and shop environments Support integration of electrical systems with hydraulic and mechanical components Follow all safety procedures and ensure work meets quality and industry standards What You Bring Journeyman Electrician, Electrical Technician, or equivalent hands‑on experience (Formal license preferred but strong experience accepted) Strong background in DC electrical systems on mobile or heavy equipment Ability to design circuits, size conductors, and calculate electrical loads Experience with alternators, battery banks, isolators, DC‑DC chargers, and related systems Skilled in troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis Ability to lift/install components and work in both field and shop settings Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team What We Offer Work with advanced electrical systems on specialized mobile equipment Exposure to unique field environments and technical challenges Extensive training and development opportunities Clear growth path into senior technician or technical specialist roles Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, LTD, life, 401K match, wellness program, and more) Strong culture built on
