We are a licensed electrical contractor based in Jackson, TN. We are invested in growing our employees and helping them succeed in their field of expertise. J2 Company is hiring a skilled Electrician with growth opportunities. This individual will have knowledge of commercial and/or industrial electrical needs and issues. They will be able to do basic troubleshooting, as well as install, repair and maintain electrical equipment while constantly demonstrating safe work practices according to NCCR and NEC . This role will create value by performing local electrical installations in Jackson, TN and surrounding areas. Must be able to self-perform as well as work in a team environment. Some travel may be required.
What Your Role Will Be Responsibilities:
Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion. Able to understand blueprints and wire connections. Conduit bending and installation. Is able to fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls for electrical switches or outlets. Experienced with pulling wire and cutting wire, cable, conduit, and raceway: threading and reaming conduit, boring and cutting chases under the direction of an electrician. Laying out the various outlets, switches, receptacles, and other details of the job, from blueprints or by direction of the superintendent of construction. Understand and is knowledgeable in using a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as multi-meter, amp meters, or test lamps. Is experienced in connecting and setting switches, receptacles, plates, etc., bending conduit, box offsets, saddles, defined take ups, and calculated multiples for degree bends. Is familiar and able in connecting and setting switches, receptacles, plates, etc. Bending conduit, box offsets, saddles, defined take ups, and calculated multiples for degree bends. Troubleshooting up to 480 VAC and DC circuits. Able to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem. Is able to prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to blueprints. Working in a self-directed manner with little supervision. Apply knowledge of NEC codes. Adhere to OSHA safety standards. Provide a team attitude and be able to work independently
The Experience You Will Bring Requirements:
Minimum of two (3) years of electrical experience preferred Experience single and three phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 volts Experience reading technical diagrams and schematics Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance routines and practices Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chain, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors is desired, but not required. Willing and able to travel up to 80% of the time Willing and able to work in various outdoor and indoor environments Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including wearing safety equipment Willing and able to climb ladders and stairs to multiple levels Willing to take directions Willing to help out team in various roles Knowledge of NEC codes
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, bend, reach for extended period. Must be able to work in cold and hot environment. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. As determined by "fit for duty" assessment by medical professional.

Two (2) year technical degree in electrical field Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps Experience utilizing a computerized maintenance management system Experience operating a motorized forklift and/or clamp truck Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems Experience with PLC controls
