Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician and Electrical Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Our company has been named finalist for Best Electrical Company in the Winchester Star awards 6 years running. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including residential homes, historic estates, local government facilities and some light commercial sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the electrical trade. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other specialized equipment to perform precise electrical work. Work on low voltage and high voltage systems while adhering to safety standards outlined by the National Electrical Code (NEC). Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems on construction sites or renovation projects to identify issues and implement corrective actions promptly. Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation efforts effectively. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections to ensure compliance and accountability. Follow all safety protocols related to working with power tools, high voltage systems, and schematics reading to prevent accidents or hazards. We are also a service call based business so lots of different calls can happen through the day. We only work with a select few specific contractors, so no large long term lingering jobs. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation environments. Hands-on experience. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting electrical issues. Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage safety procedures aligned with NEC standards. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; prior experience with construction site work is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction site safety practices including frame carpentry and handyman skills is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team. Valid electrician license or at least 5 years hands on experience for the supervisor role, at least 2-3 years experince for the electrican role. No apprentice positions avaliable at this time. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, have a strong work ethic, drivers license with reliable vehicle and ability and want to learn. MUST be able to listen to direction and be reliable..
