Job Description
Electroplating Technician Cinch Connectivity Solutions, Inc. United States, Minnesota, Waseca 299 Johnson Avenue Southwest (Show on map) May 07, 2026 Directs, supports and maintains all plating and chemical surface finishing processes and related activities. Establish and achieve planned performance levels, with primary emphasis on continuous improvement, ISO and Lean Manufacturing.
Job Requirements:
Technical Job Functions Performs chemical analysis including (AAS, X-ray, fluorescence, titration, etc.) on both plating bathes and waste plant's discharge. Prepares institutes and sustains procedures and controls for all processes employed in the plating lab. Possesses knowledge of plating and related processes. Ensures safe operation of all surface-finishing processes. Develop, perform, and interpret test analysis and results to evaluate chemical processes related to the production processes in the plating room. Train personnel in the proper setup and process procedures to clean and plate using the correct plating methods, correct measuring devices/techniques, process control methods, etc. Manages waste streams and effectively treats and stores hazardous waste that is accumulated from the plating process. Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures, promptly corrects hazardous situations. Participates in and take proactive roles in ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for problem prevention, corrective action, identification, and solution verification. Monitors process operating parameters and corrects deviations from established set points. Revises process work instructions as needed. Writes new work instructions to support process changes or improvements as necessary. Performs hands-on surface finishing operations; processes and prioritizes all work orders per documented procedures.- Assume other projects and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
- Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function of all employment.
- Reports directly to Process Engineer-Electroplating. Will provide direction to plating operators. Extensive contact with Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Purchasing and Quality Assurance personnel. Has contact with outside vendors and customers.
- The position is accountable for efficient operation and process development of all plating and cleaning operations within the factory.
- Must independently make complex bath and process adjustments and train others in proper procedures. Team performance measures are directly impacted by actions.
- Employee is responsible for the generation, labeling, storage, and other general management of hazardous waste.

- "Employee is responsible for offering hazardous waste for shipment": employee requires "Department of Transportation Shippers Training" DOT once every three years in accordance with 40 CFR 172.700-704.
- Employee works with chemicals that require respirator use per Respiratory Protection Program.
