Job Description

Tool and Design Technician Cinch Connectivity Solutions, Inc. United States, Minnesota, Waseca 299 Johnson Avenue Southwest (Show on map) May 07, 2026 Programs, set-up and operates various types of conventional, manual, and computer-numeric controlled (CNC) machine tools to cost effectively produce high-quality products on a timely basis that meet customer requirements for engineering and operational projects.
Job Requirements:
Technical Job Functions Utilize CNC machines/manual mills and lathes and perform setups on multiple machine types to ensure that completed parts conform to print and process specifications with tight tolerances. Read and interpret detailed drawings, prints, 3D models, and technical specifications. Accurately inspect finished parts using microscopes, tool maker's scope, micrometers, OGP, gage pins, thread gages, indicators, calipers, or other equipment as needed. Assigned work area, tools and gauges will be clean, and kept neat, safe, and orderly at all times. Provides input to Engineering departments regarding feasibility and capability to produce tooling/fixturing. Plan, fabricate, and construct dies, tools, and fixtures to meet quality, safety, cost, and production requirements. Performs routine maintenance. Participate in the development of new processes and assists in the evaluation new equipment and tooling. Trains personnel in proper setup procedures, including using the correct tooling, correct methods for machines adjustment, measuring devices/techniques, process control methods, etc. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner that interfaces well with customers, co-workers, and management members. Continually monitor manufacturing methods, processes, and procedures to ensure departmental goals are met while maintaining or improving cost competitiveness, which includes identifying, recommending, and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Assume other projects and responsibilities from as directed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function of all employment.
  • Maintain regular communication with Design Engineers, Tool Makers, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing, Production and Quality Assurance personnel for continuous improvement opportunity.
  • Make daily independent and team decisions related to priority and technical job performance.
