Job Summary:

The K-5 Classroom Teacher is responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for elementary students. This role focuses on fostering academic growth, social development, and positive behavior while meeting curriculum standards and individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans to teach core subjects such as reading, science, and math, aligned with curriculum standards
• Instruct students as a whole class, in small groups, and individually to support differentiated learning
• Teach students how to interact respectfully and effectively with others, promoting social and emotional development
• Observe and assess students regularly to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and areas for growth
• Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback to support student progress
• Work one-on-one with students to help them overcome specific learning challenges
• Prepare students for standardized tests through targeted instruction and practice
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, achievements, and concerns
• Develop, implement, and enforce classroom rules to encourage appropriate behavior and a positive learning environment
