Job Summary:
Supervise a safe, clean, well-maintained club pool facility. Efficiently and professionally oversees the various pool/aquatic activities including, but not limited to: private and group swim lessons, swim team practices and meets, private events (as they apply to the pool directly) Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities) Oversees all pool activities Supervises and all life guarding staff Coaches swim team, attends swim meets with surrounding clubs Teaching of swim lessons Creating weekly work and rotation of schedules for Lifeguards Ensures coverage for all hours of operation and special events Assures that all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are in place and consistently followed Maintains proper chemical balance in pool Assures that members sign-in including guests Passes along to charges for members, lessons, swim team and special events etc. Keeps track of monthly charges to ensure payment of staff for lessons and swim team Develops, implements and enforces club rules for pool safety and conduct Resolves member and guest issues Executes all programs according to the calendar Arranges a program of and schedule for private and group swim lessons Represents the club in activities as required Maintains and keeps all necessary records concerning pool attendance, pool chemicals as required by law, accident reports, problem-member reports, lifeguard schedules, etc. Ensures the safety of all members and guests Oversees facilities and equipment to ensure safety, cleanliness and good working order Assists in pool opening and closing at the beginning and end of season Manages pool area lost and found articles Manages pool area, including lockers, changing rooms for cleanliness and good working order. Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Committee or GM Applicant Requirements Current certification in Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR and AED certifications. Competitive swimming experience Prior coaching experience High school or equivalent (Preferred)Job Type:
