Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a school-based contract position in Prince George, VA. This role focuses on delivering high-quality therapy services to pediatric and school-aged students, ranging from pre-school through high school levels. The ideal candidate will hold current licensure and certification, with experience across early childhood to adolescent populations.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with pediatric specialization Experience working with children in various age groups: Pre K through Grade 12 Certified to provide speech and language therapy in educational settings Familiarity with early childhood and elementary school speech development Ability to support students in middle school (Grades 6-8) and high school environments Knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and multidisciplinary collaboration

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across diverse grade levels, including Pre K, Kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student growth according to district and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insights to student educational planning
