This full-time position requires a commitment to promoting physical fitness and well-being among elementary-aged children. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging physical education curricula that align with state standards and promote physical fitness, motor skills development, and healthy habits. Plan and conduct age-appropriate physical activities, games, and sports that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students. Assess and evaluate students' physical abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them improve. Foster a safe and inclusive environment where all students feel comfortable participating in physical activities. Collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate physical education with other subjects and school-wide initiatives. Organize and oversee school-wide events, such as field days, fitness challenges, and sports competitions. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and encourage their involvement in physical education activities. Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and accessible for all students. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field. Valid state teaching certification in Physical Education for elementary education. Experience working with elementary-aged children in a physical education setting preferred. Strong knowledge of physical education standards, curriculum development, and assessment practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to promoting physical fitness, health, and well-being among students. First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
