Immediately Job Description Crockett County Schools Elementary School Counselor Expectations Provide Academic support to all targeted students Help all students begin career exploration Educate students about self-awareness and self-esteem Teach problem-solving and conflict resolution sills Provide individual and small group counseling services Make referrals to outside agencies as needed Meet with parents or consult with external parties such as Child Protective Services as necessary Be expected to serve as a crisis counselor if needed Provide character education sessions with classes at points during the school year Be expected to protect sensitive student information as confidential unless the information would do harm to the student or others
